Outreach
Since there will never cease to be some in need on the earth, I
therefore command you, "Open your hand to the poor and needy neighbour
in your land." - Deuteronomy 15:11
New Hope Church cares for its members, visitors,
community, and beyond through its outreach ministries,
listed to the right. We welcome your involvement in any of these efforts!
If you are in need,
please
email the church office or
call us at 614.766.5445. We are glad to help in any way we can. All requests
will be kept confidential.
Current Outreach Projects
Souper Bowl of Caring
New Hope Church is participating in the
Souper
Bowl of Caring on Super Bowl Sunday, February 5. We will be collecting
non-perishable food items and personal care items for the
Dublin
Food Pantry. Items in greatest need at the pantry are condensed soups,
canned pasta (spaghettios, ravioli, etc.), crackers, pork & beans/baked
beans, breakfast cereal, pancake mix, syrup, boxed potatoes, and toothpaste.
Winter Clothing Drive for Homeless Men
Most of us have never experienced the ordeal of living outside all winter
without a coat or warm clothes. Having warm clothing is more than just a
comfort issue, it's also a serious health concern for the homeless, especially
homeless men. They are often seen in emergency rooms with critical wounds
and illnesses caused by overexposure to cold, wet weather.
Please bless these
often overlooked brothers of ours with a gift of warm clothing this winter.
New or gently used men's coats, hats, gloves, and new thermal underwear and
socks are desperately needed, especially big and tall sizes. New Hope's Equipping
Disciples group will be collecting these items in the Narthex from Sunday,
February 5, through Sunday, February 19. All items will be donated to
Faith
Mission's downtown Columbus shelter for homeless men. Thank you for sharing
a simple gift that makes such a difference.
